From Sydney to Melbourne, Ukrainian communities and their supporters across Australia will come together to honour Ukraine’s journey to freedom.

In 2024, the United States will commemorate Ukrainian Independence Day with a wide range of activities and events. As Americans and Ukrainians come together to celebrate, these events will provide a meaningful opportunity to strengthen community ties and express solidarity with Ukraine.   6. Illinois (Chicago): “Ukrainian Independence Day Parade in Downtown Chicago” – Ukrainian Chicago. When: Sunday 24th August 2025 from 2pm onwards. An Independence Day march from Congress Plaza Garden to the Riverwalk.
  7. Indiana (Noblesville): “Ukraine Independence Day” – Ukrainian Society of Indiana. When: Sunday 24th August 2025 from 3pm – 5pm. A free community event hosted by the Ukrainian Society of Indiana in partnership with Bier Brewery Noblesville, featuring Ukrainian food, social gatherings, and fundraising to support vital charitable projects in Ukraine.
  8. New York: “Open House: Ukrainian Independence Day” – Ukrainian Institute of America. When: Sunday 24th August 2025 from 12pm – 6pm. Celebrate Ukraine’s independence at the UIA Open House with family-friendly activities, a Ukrainian food court, artisan pop-ups, over 1,000 pysanky on display, traditional costumes, books, and contemporary films made during the war.
